We are not a lender

Cumberland Finance is not a lender and does not make credit decisions. If a lender makes you an offer, the amount, fee, APR and repayment terms come from that lender and appear in the loan agreement before you sign.

Advertising disclosure

We are paid by lenders and partners when we pass along a request. This doesn't change the cost of your loan, and we don't control which lender approves you.

Short-term loans are expensive

Payday and short-term installment loans have high APRs and are meant for short-term needs, not long-term financial problems. Borrow only what you can repay on time. If you're having trouble with debt, a nonprofit credit counselor can help; you can find one through the National Foundation for Credit Counseling at nfcc.org.

Kentucky payday loan notice

Under KRS 286.9-100, as amended by 2026 Ky. Acts ch. 98: total payday loan proceeds may not exceed $600 (adjusted yearly for inflation, never more than $850); fees may not exceed $15 per $100 of the check; a lender may hold a check for no more than 60 days; no more than two payday loans may be open at once; no fee may be charged to renew or roll over a loan; and no person who enters into a deferred deposit transaction may be prosecuted for or convicted of writing cold checks under KRS 514.040.

Late payment and non-payment

Missing a payment can lead to late fees, returned-payment fees from your lender and your bank, collection activity and reports to credit bureaus. The exact consequences are set out in your loan agreement.
